Recurrent bladder carcinoma
Superficial bladder carcinoma is a frequently occurring disease. It is treated with surgery, named Transurethral Resection (TUR). After surgery these tumours often recur. Therefore after TUR, chemotherapeutics are often instilled in the bladder. We have tested IL-2 instillation in the bladder. Good therapeutic results were obtained.Presently we are trying to further improve this TUR-local-IL-2 therapy in patients with superficial bladder carcinoma.
