Indication
Local IL-2 therapy is indicated for tumours at an advanced stage in case that no therapeutic treatment is available anymore.
Application
Local IL-2 is applied by a physician. He injects 4.5 million international units of IL-2 into the tumour.
Side effects
Local IL-2 application causes only some local swelling due to local vascular leakage.
Immune suppressiva
The use of systemic immune suppressiva is not recommended. They may reduce immune stimulation by local IL-2 application, however this has not been shown directly.

Intratumoral or local IL-2 therapy synergizes with:
